An asset tag label is designed to be affixed to a piece of property, typically with an identification label (what the military calls a UID, or unique identification designator) to facilitate tracking. Often times the UID takes the form of a barcode such as those you might be familiar with on products at the grocery store. Just as the grocer clerk can check you out quicker by scanning the items with a scanner attached to a computer, your inventory efforts can be streamlined by scanning the asset tag label on an item to record its location, or to whom the item is currently assigned. Some of our customers are military or aerospace contractors and are required to provide any item that will be federal property with a UID in the form of an asset tag label.
Of course, any label, overlay, sticker or decal is only effective if it retains its legibility and maintains its adhesion to the product it has been tasked with labeling. Some of our customers build equipment or products that will be required to operate in some of the most grueling and demanding work environments known to man.
