Why are metal nameplates so popular with manufacturers of durable goods and equipment? Put simply, it is because they get the job done. The purpose behind metal nameplates, or name plates made of any other material for that matter, is to show what company made the product to which the nameplate is affixed. If your product is a piece of equipment that has a useful life of many years, when it comes time to replace or upgrade your product far in the future, are you absolutely certain that your customer is going to have paperwork somewhere on file that will tell him or her who made this product that is now going to be replaced. It would be a shame if your product had done everything the customer had wanted from it and met or exceeded all performance expectations and the only reason that the customer did not re-order from your company was that it could not recall who had made it. A nameplate must be attached and legible years after use in whatever working environments your product has built to withstand. Your nameplate has to be as rugged and durable as your product or it is not doing its job. This is why so many of our customers, in such fields as medical equipment manufacture, military contracting, aerospace, industry and telecommunications, have come to rely on metal nameplates by Data Graphics.

We employ a full service production department on site, enabling us to manufacture metal nameplates in the size, shape, finish and color you desire, using your camera ready art. We offer seven to ten day turn around service on most orders but expedited service is available when needed.
Data Graphics uses many different methods to affix metal nameplates to our customers’ products. When you contact one of our friendly and knowledgeable sales representatives and talk over your specific needs, you will be presented with their suggestions for the proper choice of adhesive or other means of attaching your nameplate to your product, such as screwing an anodized aluminum nameplate onto the product. One of our more popular metal nameplate methods is the Metalphoto process, which involves the development of a photographic quality image onto an anodized aluminum substrate through use of a silver halide. This image is sealed, with the result being a crisp image capable of displaying great detail with the hardness of sapphire. Metal nameplates produced using this process do not have engraved or raised surfaces which can collect grease and grime over time, rendering the nameplate illegible. Call Data Graphics today to see how we can best meet your nameplate needs.
