When you need labels and nameplates to adhere to the government’s mil standard 130 (MIL STD 130, MIL-STD-130), Data Graphics, Inc. is the solution.
With so many government regulations, you need a company to help you navigate through the rules and get it right the first time. Our state of the art equipment can produce labels and nameplates with serialized barcodes to meet the mil standard 130.
The mil standard 130 is a standard implemented by The United States Department of Defense. The standard mandates that any asset over $5,000 to have an UID, or Unique Identifier, compliant. For inventory control purposes the government marks all of its assets with labels or nameplates with unique identifiers on them. The mil standard 130 also mandates that all contractors must mark all government assets in their possession with a unique serialized barcode.
Any government provided property to a contractor must also mark items with a readable barcode according to the mil standard 130. Serialized barcode labels and nameplates contain valuable numeric and alpha numeric information to help inventory control specialists track inventory throughout a corporation or department.
At Data Graphics, Inc. we have several styles of labels and name plates to choose from for your mil standard 130 product. Serialized barcode labels and nameplates can be created with aluminum; lexan and polycarbonate, or plastic; Metalphoto™; vinyl, mylar, polyester or Kapon..
Our polycarbonate and anodized labels are durable, flexible, can withstand harsh outdoor environments, extreme temperature, prolonged exposure to the sun’s ultra violet rays, corrosive chemicals and abrasions. Most of our labels have pressure sensitive adhesives that can adhere to the most stubborn surface.
Indoor normal office conditions, polyester barcode labels are best. They can be affixed to furniture, fixtures, and computer equipment. Polyester labels can be tamper-evident, leaving behind a void pattern when the top layer of the label is peeled away. A laminate film over the label or nameplate protects it from mild chemicals and scuffs. There are several over-laminates to choose from such as matte, gloss, write-on, velvet and UV clear coat.
Serialized barcode labels and nameplates can be printed with various state of the art printing equipment. They can be screenprinted, digitally printed, thermal transfer printed, hot stamped and flexo printed. Numerous standard die cuts are also available to create any shape the customer wants. If we don’t have the die you want, we can have a die custom-made for your job.
With government controlled assets, our labels last. Always keeping our customers compliant with the mil standard 130 mandate.
