My wife and I took on a challenge to raise money for a local cancer foundation, the Climb for Cancer Foundation. We wanted to emulate the struggle of cancer, so we took on the task of climbing Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania Africa. Kilimanjaro is 19,340 feet and is the highest point in Africa. It is also the largest freestanding mountain in the world. The climb took us seven days and was strenuous both physically and mentally. We took the Machambe route, which is considered by locals as the most difficult route. The trip also included a four day safari that featured lion’s elephant’s giraffe as well as cheetah. We decided to take the Data Graphics flag to the top as a show of thanks for all their support. I feel fortunate to work for such a great company and we wanted to show them our gratitude.
