A tamper evident sticker is sometimes referred to as, perhaps confusingly, as a tamper proof sticker. It is in no way designed to prevent access to your products "guts." It is merely designed to document what may have been an unauthorized and warranty voiding access. There are many types of tamper evident sticker materials available. Some of them are designed to leave a pattern of remaining material on the surface of your product that spells out the word "void" when the sticker is peeled off. Other stickers or custom labels are made in such a way that they fall apart in many small pieces in any attempt to remove them. Whatever the design, these tamper evident stickers are designed to leave evidence of tampering, thus potentially exposing warranty voiding attempts to repair the product. Qualified and authorized repair personnel, of course, will also have to remove these stickers to make repairs, but it is assumed that 
they will fully remove the old sticker and replace it with a new one once the repairs have been made.
