Your custom Tyvek tag from Data Graphics, is made from DuPont’s Tyvek material, which is manufactured using very fine polyethylene fibers of high density. The fibers are continuous and the Tyvek material itself is made by spinning the fibers and laying them directly on a moving bed in a random pattern, resulting in a nondirectional “weave.” Next, heat and pressure are applied, without the use of binding materials, resulting in a lightweight material with excellent resistance to ripping, tearing, abrasions and punctures. A Tyvek tag is water-resistant and chemical resistant, although porous enough to be vapor permeable. Your Tyvek tag is ideal for graphics purposes and its opaque surface can be printed with high quality images. Tyvek labels can be laminated for additional protection.
Tyvek labeling products, such as those custom manufactured by us at our state-of-the-art production facility in Mount Dora, Florida, retain their flexibility in extreme cold temperatures as low as -100°F (-73°C). Assuming constant temperatures, the thickness of Tyvek sheets vary almost imperceptibly in environments of 0% to 100% humidity. Additionally, a Tyvek tag will not experience shrinking or melting in temperatures less than 270°F (132°C).
