Representative Jennifer Sullivan, Sales Engineer Connie Aldridge, Pres. Brad Butterstein, and VP Buffy Carroll, celebrate being recognized as a Gold Supplier for the Boeing Company.

Boeing Co. awarded Data Graphics Inc. with Gold Supplier Status. Boeing’s stringent evaluation standards are often considered the model for grading manufacturing excellence, regardless of industry. At any given time, there are typically 100-150 Gold Suppliers, out of more than 13,000 suppliers Boeing deals with annually. Not a single one of the nearly 19,000 individual asset tags, nameplates, overlays, and labels that Data Graphics manufactured for Boeing in the last twelve months failed to meet Boeing’s quality standards or their delivery deadlines. For at least the last six months, Data Graphics also received a rating of 4.8 or higher (out of 5) on the General Performance Assessment Summary.

Sullivan, toured the facility and met with staff.  At the end of her visit, she added, “Thank you for running such a first-class operation. I greatly respect your commitment to excellence and the way in which you genuinely care for your employees and their quality of life …These are the stories I want to be able to share in Tallahassee.”

Data Graphics Earns Boeing’s Coveted Gold Supplier Award

(Mount Dora, FL, 5/25/16) –  Boeing Co. just awarded Data Graphics Inc. with prestigious Gold Supplier status for the period of May 1, 2015-April 30-2016. This award is issued to suppliers who have achieved superior performance for a consecutive 12-month period. Boeing has long been recognized as having perhaps the best and most stringent supplier rating systems in the nation. At any given time, there are typically 100-150 Gold Suppliers, out of more than 13,000 suppliers Boeing deals with annually.

What exactly does achieving a Gold Supplier assessment mean? Not a single one of the nearly 19,000 individual overlays, nameplates and labels that Data Graphics sent Boeing in the last 12 months failed to meet Boeing’s quality standards or their delivery deadlines. For at least the last 6 months, Data Graphics also received a rating of 4.8 or higher (out of 5) on the General Performance Assessment Summary. For many suppliers in the aerospace industry, achieving Boeing’s Gold Supplier status is considered the highest possible honor. Boeing notes that Gold Suppliers “are satisfying our customers with top-quality, technically excellent, affordable products, delivered on time.”

This award comes on the heels of Data Graphics Inc. becoming just the eighth nameplate manufacturer in the nation to become a Metalphoto ® Certified Converter. Both the National Association of Graphic and Production Identification Manufacturers and the Naval Surface Warfare Center have determined that metalphoto identification plates are the most durable nameplates with the highest environmental survivability score. In fact, metalphoto is the preferred methodology for many aerospace and marine applications. This is why Boeing trusts Data Graphics and metalphoto to provide the most accurate, durable industrial labels on earth. Horizons Inc., which manufactures all metalphoto anodized aluminum used in the metalphoto process, has created the rigorous Certified Converter standard to ensure that manufacturers adhere to best practices and achieve the highest quality products. Data Graphics is believed to be the only firm in the Southeast to have earned status as both a Boeing Gold Supplier and Metalphoto Certified Convert at the same time, and one of only a handful of companies to have ever accomplish this feat.
