Last month we focused a lot of attention on our big awards from Boeing and Rockwell-Collins, and the honor of having an elected representative came to celebrate with us. This month, we wanted to focus a little bit more on the relationship between our Heels on the Highway Gals. Jacquelyn and Buffy’s relationship began in Spring of 2004, as their two youngest children became friends and teammates on the baseball field. At that time, Buffy was an Inside Sales Rep at DG and Jacq had her own insurance agency. The two got off to a…slow start.

Buffy was having a birthday party for her son, which included a trip to Tampa for a Tampa Bay Rays game, and invited Jacq’s son. Would you believe that Jacquelyn requested Buffy’s driver’s license number so she could run it and view her driving record, prior to taking her son to Tampa? Luckily, Buffy’s driving record was EXCELLENT. The ever-cautious Jacq ran the actuary tables in her head, and decided Buffy was worth the risk. Their friendship has blossomed ever since…but don’t think for a second that Buffy lets her forget about it. Twelve years later, Jacq is the on the road visiting customers, and is a remarkably safe driver. When Buffy gets the chance to pick on her driving, however, well…

And Jacq makes it SO easy, getting her second speeding warning in 2 months. Now mind you, she was able to help the officer understand her dilemma with having a traditional speedometer vs the digital speed display she is used to…or something like that. While we are pretty sure a life of crime is not in her future, the office staff all want to check her driving record before we let her take us to lunch. If nothing else, we know she goes the extra mile to be on time for her client meetings.
